A figure of speech is one method of using words out of their literal,or ordinary,sense in order to suggest a picture of image. Figuraive language gives the reader something to look at,touch or listen to and makes ideas concrete and vivid. Figures of speech imply or suggest rather than state directly what the writer intends to say. Culture can be divided into material aspect-the products of a people's art and technology and non-material aspect-a people's customs,beliefs,values and patterns of communication.The communication between cultures is possible because of the similar principles that guide the interaction as well as the different perceptions and symbol system that cause the various thought patterns,cognitive types and pragmatic competence.So is it in Chinese and English,the typical version of Oriental and Western culture.This paper is designed to present the cultural differences in thought patterns and the influences on the English writing.Since Chinglish,the term that the English native describes the embarrassing usage of English is serous and alarming for the second language learning,it is of primary importance to inform the learners in order to avoid the negative transfer.Especially the college learners are undertaking the double task of communication and academy.The risk of pragmatic failure would be reduced as few as possible if they are conscious of such thought patterns and its influence on the writing practice.The analysis is of help for the college learners to be as native as possible in writing.  相似文献

Guqin music is a precious cultural heritage of China. The notation of Guqin is very special, which records its playing methods and techniques. For the purpose of preserving the guqin art, the digitalization of guqin notation and an interpretation method of guqin notation were conducted. By using this interpretation method, raw images of handwritten notations are transformed into structural data that can be processed and analyzed by computers easily. The method decomposes each single complex character of guqin notations into simple radicals and finds the structure of the character. According to the radicals and the structure, the character is interpreted into meaningful codes. The experimental results show our method is effective.  相似文献

The congruent tri-doped Mg: Mn: Fe: LiNbO3 crystal has been grown by Czochralski method. Some crystal samples are reduced in Li2CO3 powder at 500℃ for 24 hours or oxidized for 10 hours at 1100 ℃ in Nb2O5 powder. Compared with As-grown Mg:Mn:Fe:LiNbO3, the absorption edge in UV-Vis. absorption spectrum of the oxidized sample and the reduced shifts to the violet and the red, respectively. Reduction increases the absorption of crystals in visible light region. In two-wave coupling experiments, the writing time, maximum diffraction efficiency and the erasure time of crystal samples in the same conditions are determined. The results indicate that oxidation and reduction disposing has great effect on the holographic recording properties of these crystals. The reduced crystal exhibits the fastest response time of 160 s anmng the crystal series. The mechanism of post-disposing effect on the holographic recording properties of Mg:Mn:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals are investigated.  相似文献

Scaffolds require individual external shape and well-defined internal structure, which is of great importance for tissue engineering. Rapid prototyping (RP) uses layer-manufacturing strategies to create physical objects and has the advantage on scaffold fabrication. A new RP technology called aerodynamically assisted tip-pen direct writing was developed to construct the complex architectures. Compared with the traditional nozzle, the new nozzle has a micro-tip in the center of the micro-hole. The flow is determined by the gap between the micro-hole and micro-tip, which makes it practical for more accurate flow control. A highly accurate three-dimensional (3-D) micro-positioning system was employed with the new nozzle to deposit maltose structures. 3-D architectures had been made by this method, the width of fiber in which is about 120 μm. The results show that this method provides a possibility to construct 3-D scaffolds with tissue-scale features (i.e., 10-100 μm) without bad influence on the biological activities.  相似文献

The twists of twelve kinds of the cotton OE yarns in different machine twists and different yarn linear density have been determined by one time back twisting and twisting method, triple twisting method and double twisting method. The quantitative analysis of the measurement principles of all the untwisting and retwisting methods has been made by the writers. It is theoretically and practically concluded that for twelve kinds of the cotton OE yarns the difference between the twist determined by triple twisting method and machine twist is the lowest and there is measuring method error in determining the twist of OE yarn by all the untwisting and retwisting methods.  相似文献

Neither the finite element method nor the discontinuous deformation analysis method can solve problems very well in rock mechanics and engineering due to their extreme complexities. A coupling method combining both of them should have wider applicability. Such a model coupling the discontinuous deformation analysis method and the finite element method is proposed in this paper. In the model, so-called line blocks are introduced to deal with the interaction via the common interfacial boundary of the discontinuous deformation analysis domain with the finite element domain. The interfacial conditions during the incremental iteration process are satisfied by means of the line blocks. The requirement of gradual small displacements in each incremental step of this coupling method is met through a displacement control procedure. The model is simple in concept and is easy in numerical implementation. A numerical example is given. The displacement obtained by the coupling method agrees well with those obtained by the finite element method, which shows the rationality of this model and the validity of the implementation scheme.  相似文献

This paper explores five methods of bearing capacity of soft rock foundation based on in-situ load test, namely, point of contraflexure method, relative settlement method, rebound method based on elastoplasticity theory, hyperbola fitted method and minimum curvature radius method. The suitability of various methods was discussed on the basis of the typical results from in-situ load test of Renshou mansion and Caifu plaza in YueYang. It shows that the bearing capacity can be obtained by the proportion load and limit load from p-s curve with first and second point of contraflexure easily. The accurate value of bearing capacity could be obtained by hyperbola fitted method and minimum curvature radius method theoretically, so it is recommended. The rebound method is clear in principle, in which the elastoplasticity characteristic was thought about, and it is recommended, too. Out of consideration for the unsteadiness and unobviousness of bearing capacity from relative settlement method, it can be only adopted as reference. So bearing capacity of soft rock foundation should be decided by weathering condition of soft rock and curve type.  相似文献

A new method for determining the fractal dimension by STM at nanometer scale has been proposed.Weierstrass-Mandelbrot fractal curves were used to verify the accuracy and reliability. The Computer simulation showed that fractal dimension obtained with this method generally outran the traditional yard method. The new method has been applied to the fractal dimension determination of the fractures of Ti3Al and Ti-24Al-11Nb alloys. The results show that the fractal dimension of Ti-24Al-11Nb alloy is higher than that of Ti3Al, and it varies with the crack extending orientation.  相似文献

Earthquake is one of the difficult problems that can not be solved as of this writing since the time when modern science was initiated over 300 years ago, and irregular events cannot be dealt with by using quantities examples before and followed by a view of the number of analysis systems in modern science; meanwhile, it covers the problem that how to use changeable information. Structural analysis method is developed particularly for the study of evolutionary transitional processes of the changing events by employing irregular information, and emphasizes the primitiveness of changes in events. Based on the data of sounding observation every 08 o’clock and 20 o’clock per day from China Meteorological Administration, in this paper, we employ the digital structural analysis method to analyze the process of the special, structural characteristics of 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Ms9.0 earthquake. The result shows that the method can reflect the process of geothermal structures before and after earthquake; it can reflect the congruity between geothermal "heat level" and the level of earthquake energy. When the structure before the earthquake is "the counter clockwise rolling current and the unstable structures" with "dry in lower levels and wet in upper levels", we should be worry about the problem of earthquake. In a word, geothermal information could reveal that earthquakes really would be "heralded".  相似文献
