Erosion-corrosion behavior of SAF3207 hyper-duplex stainless steel

Polarization curves and mass losses of SAF3207 hyper-duplex stainless steel under various conditions were measured. The damaged surfaces after erosion-corrosion tests were characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that an increase in flow velocity could enhance the electrochemical corrosion and consequently decrease the passivation properties of the steel. The erosion-corrosion damage of the samples increased substantially when the flow velocity exceeded the critical value of 4 m·s-1. The mass loss rate increased as the sand content increased, reaching a maximum at 7wt% sand content, corresponding to the most severe electrochemical corrosion damage. When the sand content was increased further, however, the mass loss rate decreased and then tended stable. The mass loss was divided into incubation, sustained, and stationary periods, with a maximum mass loss rate of 12.97 g·h-1·m-2 after an erosion period of 2.5 h. The erosion-corrosion mechanism was investigated in detail.     

Recombination and linkage disequilibrium in Arabidopsis thaliana

Linkage disequilibrium (LD) is a major aspect of the organization of genetic variation in natural populations. Here we describe the genome-wide pattern of LD in a sample of 19 Arabidopsis thaliana accessions using 341,602 non-singleton SNPs. LD decays within 10 kb on average, considerably faster than previously estimated. Tag SNP selection algorithms and 'hide-the-SNP' simulations suggest that genome-wide association mapping will require only 40%-50% of the observed SNPs, a reduction similar to estimates in a sample of African Americans. An Affymetrix genotyping array containing 250,000 SNPs has been designed based on these results; we demonstrate that it should have more than adequate coverage for genome-wide association mapping. The extent of LD is highly variable, and we find clear evidence of recombination hotspots, which seem to occur preferentially in intergenic regions. LD also reflects the action of selection, and it is more extensive between nonsynonymous polymorphisms than between synonymous polymorphisms.     

Multiple MIPS 4Kc cores based interrupt controller design and its implementation on HDTV SoC platform

A multiple MIPS 4Kc processor cores based interrupt processing system is introduced. The interrupt controller plays a key role in the high definition television （HDTV） system-on-a-chip （SoC） platform, especially when it is a multiple processor system. Based on a general introduction to the whole HDTV SoC platform, a layered interrupt controller and its implementation are discussed in detail. The proposed scheme was implemented in our FPGA verification board. The results indicate that our scheme is reliable and efficient. Meanwhile, as a functional intellectual property （IP）, the interrupt controller has reusability and expandability with the layered structure.

Study and Application of Internal Coating Technique to Drag Reduction of the Trunk Pipeline for the West-East Gas Pipeline

Coverage layer coated in the internal wall of pipeline enables the friction drag to be reduced, the throughput and the gas transmission efficiency to be increased, the frequency of pigging and the number of the intermediate compressor station to be reduced, and the power consumption of the compressor to be decreased etc. The drag reduction is a high advanced scientific technique with outstanding economical benefit. The study and application of internal coating technique for drag reduction of 4000km trunk pipeline in West-East gas transmission pipeline (WEGTP) project are described, in which the main points are the drag reduction principle, coating process and the indoor study of this technique with own-decided knowledge property right at home.     

Surface registration algorithm for rapid detection of surface thermal deformation of paraboloid antennas

In order to obtain and master the surface thermal deformation of paraboloid antennas,a fast iterative closest point( FICP) algorithm based on design coordinate guidance is proposed,which can satisfy the demands of rapid detection for surface thermal deformation. Firstly,the basic principle of the ICP algorithm for registration of a free surface is given,and the shortcomings of the ICP algorithm in the registration of surface are analysed,such as its complex computation,long calculation time,low efficiency,and relatively strict initial registration position. Then an improved FICP algorithm based on design coordinate guidance is proposed. Finally,the FICP algorithm is applied to the fast registration test for the surface thermal deformation of a paraboloid antenna. Results indicate that the approach offers better performance with regard to fast surface registration and the algorithm is more simple,efficient,and easily realized in practical engineering application.
