MDBS中基于模式映射树的查询分解和优化

提出了一种多数据库系统的模式映射方法，并对水平映射、垂直映射、混合映射、相关映射和局部映射给出了一种统一的形式化描述．使用模式映射树存储和表达用于查询分解的全局模式以及全局模式到输出模式及局部模式的映射信息，使用查询树来表示多数据库查询的内部结构．通过合并全局查询树与模式映射树，给出了将全局查询转化为中间查询的全局查询分解方法．利用模式映射信息中的相关映射性质，给出了多数据库查询中全局连接的优化处理策略．

在分布式数据库系统中,由于数据的物理分布使得分布式查询处理增加了复杂性,不同的查询处理方法,其查询处理代价和复杂度是大不一样的。分布式数据库系统的查询优化比集中式数据库系统更为重要。文章介绍了查询优化和策略,并说明分布式数据库系统查询优化策略对查询性能的影响。

在许多应用系统中，使用缓存技术是提高数据库查询性能的有效途径。语义缓存是重要的缓存方式之一，它将查询结果和查询的相关语义信息缓存，为将来的查询提供解答。针对一个数据量极大、持续进行查询和数据装载的数据库系统，给出了一个加入语义缓存使之优化查询性能的方法，分析了其中的关键技术，并给出了实现方法。     

一个具有语义优化的分布式查询处理算法

本文描述一个分布式关系数据库系统中具有语义优化的查询处理算法。算法的基本过程是:从原查询转换到查询图同时进行副本选择,得到T-图,经一般优化、语义优化,进而产生查询处理策略。优化的目标是总处理代价最小。语义变换过程应用了启发式的控制策略。

The interoperability of distributed DBMSs in a CORBA-based multidatabase system

One way of achieving interoperability among heterogeneous, distributed DBMs is through a multidatabase system. Recently, there is an increasing use of CORBA implementation in developing multidatabase systems. Panorama is a multidatabase system that has been implemented on the top of CORBA compliant namely VisiBroker. It aims to achieve interoperability among Oracle, Sybase and other different DMBSs through the registration of these DBMSs to Panorama and through the single global query language-PanoSQL designed for this system. In this paper, we first introduce CORBA for the interoperability in multidatabase systems. Then, a general view for our designed multidatabase system. Panorama, has been given. In section four, we introduce the global query language-PanoSQL designed to achieve interoperability among the different DBMSs implemented in Panorama. Then, as an example, we present the registration of Oracle to panorama in order to achieve interoperability in this system. And, finally, a conclusion and the future work for this system have been given. 对Panorama多数据库进行了概述。介绍Panorama中为实现不同DBMS之间互操作性而设计的全局查询语言PanoSQL,然后以Oracle为例,讨论如何将不同的DBMSs注册到Panorama中以获得系统的互操作性。     

An Efficient Algorithm for Query Transformation in Semantic Query Optimization

Semantic query optimization (SQO)is comparatively a recent approach for the transformation of given query into equivalent alternative query using matching rules in order to select an optimal query based on the costs of executing alternative queries,The key aspect of the algorthm proposed here is that previous proposed SQO techniques can be considered equally in the uniform cost model,with which optimization opportunities will not be missed.At the same time,the authors used the implication closure to guarantee that any matched rule will not be lost .The authors implemented their algorithm for the optimization of decomposed sub-query in local database in MultiDatabase Integrator(MDBI),which is a multidatabase project.The experimental results verify that this algorithm is effective in the process of SQO.

Integrating XML with CORBA-based multidatabase systems

In this paper, we first introduce the architecture for a CORBA-based multidatabase system and then give an approach of schema mapping between XML and relational database system. Finally, we investigate the ability to apply the integration of XML with CORBA based muhidatabase systems. This integration extends the ability of a CORBA-based multidatabase system to implement data sharing and intcroperability.

一种扩展型实时多数据库系统实现框架

实时多数据库系统提供了一个实时数据集成管理平台,它不仅可以处理传统数据库中的持久性数据,而且可以处理实时系统中的即时数据.首先简介了实时多数据库系统的特征,给出一种扩展型实时多数据库系统RT-Panorama的体系结构,和基于XML的实时数据模型XRTDM作为RT-Panorama的公共数据模型,针对实时多数据库系统的时限要求给出了RT-Panorama中的实时消息处理机制.

XIDM: A common Data Model based on XML

Integration between file systems and multidatabase systems is a necessary approach to support data sharing from distributed and heterogeneous data sources. We first analyses problems about data integration between file systems and multidatabase systems. Then, A common data model named XIDM (XML-based Integrating Data Model), which is XML-oriented, is presented. XIDM bases on a series of XML standards, especially XML Schema, and can well describe semistructured data. So XIDM is powerfully practicable and multipurpose.
