| Abstract: | This paper is a brief survey of the process industry and process technology. It analysizes the situation of energy consumption, energy conservation potential and energy conservation measures for process industry. The applications of the expert system in process fault diagnosis, energy conservation, on-line optimization and other aspects are also discussed with the analysis of the expert system in furnace operation. |
