| Abstract: | A new
approach of adaptive wavelet decomposition for digital signals is proposed. The coefficients of
this adaptive wavelet decomposition (called wavelet invariant moments) are proved to be
translation and scale invariant. An efficient algorithm for approximately calculating these wavelet
invariant moments is proposed. The experiment results of digital images demonstrate the
translation and scale invariance of these wavelet invariant moments. |
