| Abstract: | Web Geographic Information System(WebGIS)technology has made the information sharing and cooperation among GIS systems based on the same computer OS become available, WebGIS technology become powerlessly in realizing the information sharing and cooperation among GIS systems based on the different computer OS,. Because what WebGIS technology realized is the traditional Web Site service, the service it offers is one-way, mainly provide the information to the client. Different from the traditional Web Site, Web Service provides multi-way services. Web Service bases on XML technical standard, messages can be exchanged among modules conveniently, and cooperation among modules is available. So Web Service technology can give a solution on sharing and cooperation among different kinds of WebGIS environment. The paper gives a frame of multi-platform spatial information system based on Web Service and local Shp file access by using Web service as a prototype of GIS Web Service system. |
