地中海——世界文化的漩涡

地中海位于欧、亚、非三洲之间，多种化在这里交汇，又在这里分流。地中海明是古代东方明的延伸、扩展与提升，是前后相续的两个发展阶梯，而不是两个相互平行的系统。长期影响欧洲的基督教化发端于地中海，伊斯兰化也以此为渊薮，印度化不断受到波及，远离地中海的中国也受这一“化强极”的影响。地中海是世界化的漩涡，很难把它界定为“东”或“西”。

The Mediterranean,situated among Europe,Asia and Africa,is a place where many cultures integrated and then separated. The Mediterranean civilization is auient oriental civilization. They are two important successive developingntal stages, not two parallel systems. The Christion culture which has influeneced Earope for a long time derived from the Mediterranean. So did Islamic culture. Zndian culture was also affeeted constantly.Even faraivay China was influencedby this strong culture. The Mediterranean is the whirlpool of the world culture, so it's rather difficult ro identify it as Eastern culture or western culture.
