| Abstract: | Research on synthesis of 4-bromobenzoic acid was investigated with 4-bromotoluene as raw material,potassium permanganate as the oxidant,TEBA as catalyst,in acid or alkali conditions.A series of experiments were inspected to study the influence on the reaction.Optimization： with water as solvent,TEBA（5%） as catalyst,n（4-bromotoluene）∶n（KMnO4）∶n（Na2CO3）=1.0∶2.5∶1.0,at 95℃ for 2.5 h,4-bromobenzoic acid was obtained in the yield of 82.4%. |
