Abstract:In this paper, the cationic polyacrylamide(CPAM) with high molecular weight was prepared in aqueous solution through a complex initiator system. The CPAM was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (13C NMR), and the charge density of the CPAM was determined by colloid titration. The results obtained indicated that the copolymerization technology used in the experiment was successful.
