| Abstract: | This study presents the numerical results of the slope stability of the Daye Open Pit Mine with both the distinct element and discontinuous deformation analysis methods. The destabilization mechanisms of a high and steep rock slope not only has been approached, but also similarities and differences of two numerical methods have been discussed. The numerical results provide the scientific basis for the design of the slope reinforcement in the future. |
