Translation of Verbal Humor: Translatability and Strategy

After a rough inquiry into the nationality of humor, we have less difficulty noting that divergence of cultures may limit the translatability of verbal humor in a latent manner. Despite this case, the paper holds that verbal humor is translatable in that the translatability takes on the form of a continuum or a cline. Humor differs from each other only in how much of it can be translated. Universal humor is thought to be the most translatable and literal translation is welcome.
