Abstract:The synthesis of isoamyl salicylate form salicylic acid and isoamyl alcohol was studied by using the technique of microwave radiation under the catalysis of p-toluenesulfonic acid.The influence of different parameters,such as the proportion of raw materials,the time of reaction,the dose of catalyst and the power of microwave on the rate of esterification was discussed.Under the suitable technological conditions,the rate of esterification can reach over 97%.
