| Abstract: | Idioms are the cream of languages and bear rich cultural connotations. Since culture differs from nation to nation, it is not uncommon that misunderstanding of English idioms occurs easily. The author analyzes this phenomenon and discusses several methods of translation of English idioms in order to promote the cross - culture communication. |
