Shihezi City, Xinjiang An Investigation and Study on the Annual Vegetable Supply

The present article is to find out a feasible measure of solving the annual vegetable supplying problem for the Northern middle and small cities as well as the industrial and mining areas. The main experiences of Shihezi in this aspect are summarized as follows: (1) Establishing near-suburban specialised commercial vegetable bases under the unified administration of the vegetable company in order to guarantee the vegetable resources of the state-owned stores; (2)Transferring fresh vegetables from other places in a planned way in the off seasons; (3)Developing Properly quick-frozen vegetables and processed vegetables, (4) Establishing far-suburban winter vegetable production bases, carrying out a three-in-one way of storing vegetables by company, units and individuals; (5) Strictly administrating the prices and ting the highest price to individual dealers.
