| 摘 要： | 中等职业学校的英语教学需要以创新精神来积极探索提高学生英语阅读能力的新方法。英语阅读能力主要表现在阅读速度和正确理解上。教师要引导学生在阅读时扩大视幅，培养学生的视读能力，同时指导学生运用背景知识和处理技巧来提高阅读能力。

| Abstract: | English teaching needs creativity to improve students' reading ability, especially in vocational and technical schools. Reading ability is mainly shown in reading speed and reading comprehension. Teachers can direct their students in how to broaden the range of vision, how to practise the visual reading and how to use the background knowledge and skills in reading. |
