传统的英语教学重视语言知识的传授,而忽视语言的实际运用。当今英语教学以学生为中心,重视学生交际运用英语的能力。中国学生学习英语最大的困难就是英语的语言环境,学生们接触英语的机会少,使用的语言也不地道,所学语言不能真实地反映社会文化,在实际交际中也就不能得体地运用它。根据中国学生身心特点,英语教学应发挥多媒体、网络功能,创造各种语言情景,激发学生学习兴趣,吸引学生参与英语实践活动,提高学生实际运用英语的能力。

Exert the Function of Multimedia and Network in the Process of Teaching English

Traditional English teaching thinks much of imparting linguistry, neglecting the practical application of language. Students have become the center of the present English teaching, in which their abilities of applying English are regarded. The most difficult thing for the Chinese students in learning English is the linguistic surrounding. They have no more chances to touch it, and they can't use it in a standard way. What they have learned can't reflect the social culture. They can't use the language in the practical communication, either. Therefore the multimedia and network should be exerted in the English teaching. We also should create kind of linguistic surroundings to stimulate their interests, which can attract them to participate in the practical activities and improve their abilities in applying English.
