摘    要:语法隐喻理论由系统功能语言学家Halliday首先提出。他认为,隐喻选择本身就是一个有意义的选择,说话人通过语法隐喻,选择不同的表达方式,来满足特定的交际意图。本文根据语法隐喻理论中的重要组成部分概念语法隐喻理论,探讨了概念语法隐喻的语义表达功能以及它对大学英语教学的启示。

Abstract:Grammatical metaphor is firstly put forward by Halliday , the grammatical functional linguistieian who holds the belief that metaphor proper is a meaningful choice process. On the basis of grammatical metaphor, the speaker can have a recourse to the incongruent form to accomplish the specific purpose. This paper, in light of Halliday's theory of Grammatical Metaphor, chiefly discusses its particular functions of conveying the specific information and explores its inspirations about the application for college English teaching.
