| Abstract: | English Extensive Reading is very important, but students usually feel it difficult, and have made lots of mistakes in comprehension. The essay analyses the difficulties are due to the lack of background knowledge that is based on constructivism. Then it will prove that language teaching should compare with culture teaching, culture teaching can promote reading comprehension. The essay begins with the relationship between language and culture, analyzing the necessity of culture teaching, the importance in extensive reading, and tries to state the necessity of culture teaching in college English and some strategies in extensive reading by using multimedia. |
