浅析英汉互译中的几种文化障碍及处理

翻译既是语言翻译，也是文化翻译，而且真正起到文化交流、促进社会进步作用的是文化翻译。东西方文化之间存在着巨大的差异，这严重影响着英汉语之间的顺利互译。只有对这些文化差异进行深入细致的分析与研究，才能找到解决问题的方法与策略，扫除这些障碍，译出佳品。本文从客观生活环境、思维方式、民族心理或价值观、宗教历史等方面，探讨一下东西方文化差异对翻译的影响及其处理——归化与异化的问题。

Cultural Obstacles in Translation of English and Chinese and Their Settlements

Translation is not only translation of language but translation of culture, and it is the latter characteristic that plays a really important role in intercultural communication which promotes the advancement of the whole society. There are many cultural differences between the West and China, which greatly affect the mutual translation of English and Chinese. The study on these cultural differences is very important and essential for the solution to get rid of these cultural obstacles in translation. In the article, some cultural differences and their effect on the translation of English and Chinese will be touched off and the translation strategies--foreignization and domestication simultaneously be tentatively discussed.
