| Abstract: | There are nearly five thousands macadam and gravel pavements in arterial highway network of Guangdong province. A life cycle cost analysis is conducted for making economic assessment of alternative maintenance and rehabilitation strategies for impoving-the increasingly deteriorating macadam and gravel pavements. An economic traffic threshold is then proposed for selecting appropriate rehabilitation or maintenance strategy. |
