| Abstract: | p Hydroxybenzonitrile was obtained by the reaction of p hydroxybenzoic acid with urea in solvent, then reacted with bromine and sodium chlorate, iodine and chlorine respectively to form the corresponding 3,5 dibromo 4 hydroxybenzonitrile and 3,5 diiodo 4 hydroxybenzonitrile. |
