| Abstract: | It was found that p_toluene sulphonic acid was superior to H 2SO 4 when used as catalyst for esterification of isoamyl alcohol with butyric acid. The optimum reaction conditions in synthesis of isoamyl butyrate catalyzed with p-toluene sulphonic acid were determined with the yield at 97.6%. |
