| Abstract: | There are numerous metaphoric expressions in both English and Chinese. Based on the differences in culture and the way of thinking between the two languages, the paper explores the similarities and differences between English metaphors and Chinese metaphors by analyzing the different choice of vehicle and sentence structures. |
