Return reimbursement policy based on periodical balancing

Real return transactions in a fluctuating price environment were modelled to illustrate the effects of balancing periods and historical prices in return models for supply chain management.The model calculates the return compensation for enterprises with periodic balancing of costs in a price fluctuating environment. A confirmation method for return transactions was developed based on two-dimensional mapping with a recommended general policy for return transactions based on both the historical price and the current price.The policy adjusts the profit allocation between companies caused by periodic balancing of the costs and the historical price to reduce the costs of companies in the upper supply chain caused by excessive return reimbursements.The policy has been applied in a marketing company of a knitting group to reduce expenses caused by mass returns from its distributors.
