Growth of decagonal quasicrystal phase in laser resolidified Al72Ni12Co16

An ultra-high temperature gradient directional solidification process produced by a widened laser beam was adopted to achieve the directionally solidified microstructure of the stable decagonal quasicrystal phase in Al72Ni12Co16 alloy. X-ray, SEM, TEM and optical microscopy techniques were used to investigate the microstructures and identify the phase. The directionally solidified decagonal quasicrystal showed the facet morphology and grew in lateral growth mode. The unusual periodic and quasiperiodic atomic structures of the decagonal quasicrystal and the epitaxial growth in the melt pool were considered to be the key factors influencing the growth morphology. The experimental results were consistent with the Toner's theoretical atomistic growth model.     

Structure Refinement of the Icosahedral AIPdMn Quasicrystal Using Quantitative CBED

The atomic structure of the pcrfect AIPdMn icosahedral phase has been studied on a single crystal specimen by quantitative convergent beam electron diffraction (QCBED) technique in combination with describing the shape of atomic surface by symmetry adapted series of surface harmonics. The spherical model was used as the starting model for the refinement. By fitting the calculated electron diffraction intensities to the experimental line scan profile, the coefficients in the surface harmonics expansion of the boundaries of atomic surface are refined. The refined parameters show that the fluctuations of the external boundary of atomic surface for Pd at n0 can be as large as 0.2 nm. The boundaries of atomic surfaces for Mn show little fluctuation. In the present model. the number of unphysically short interatomic distances is significantly reduced in comparison with the spherical model.     

Al_(63)Cu_(25)Fe_(12)准晶体的相变及应用研究

从应用角度出发,系统地研究了Al_(63)Cu_(25)Fe_(12)合金的相变及性能特点,并初步研究了准晶体对传统铝合金表面改性的贡献。结果表明:该合金在450℃～820℃温度区间内晶体相Al_7Cu_2Fe发生同素异构转变形成稳定I相,具有较高的硬度和硬度值变化不大(650～850kgf/mm~2)的特点,可与传统铝合金复合并使其硬度和耐磨性能显著提高。     

Hall Effect in Quasicrystals

The relations between Hall effect and symmetry are discussed for all 2- and 3-dimensional quasicrystals with crystallographical|y forbidden symmetries. The results show that the numbers of independent components of the Hall coefficient (R11) are one for 3-dimensional quasicrystals, two for those 2-dimensional quasicrystals whose symmetry group is non-Abelian, and three for those 2-dimensional quasicrystals whose symmetry group is Abelian. respectively. The quasicrysta[s with the same number of independent components have the same form of the components of R11.     

正二十面体正五角十二面体的几何参数及其在准晶格中的应用

本文推导出正二十面体和正五角十二面体的几何参数,探讨了平面理想准晶格模型[1][2]的两种空间结构,得到了一种以五角十二面体为特征的平面格子,利用所得到的几何参数,也可对以上两种多面体为基本单位的其它空间结构进行研究。     

准晶体中十方晶系点群的对称性与矩阵表示

运用结晶学、群论、线性代数等方法,从理论上对准晶体中十方晶系各点群进行了研究.绘出了各点群的极赤投影图;列出了各点群的所有群元和生成元;填写出了最大的固有点群10 22的群乘表.在自定义的十方坐标系中,导出了十方晶系各点群所有群元的坐标变换矩阵,这40个3×3矩阵的结构是相当简洁的,它们的矩阵元只有5种可能取值:0,±1,±τ.其中,τ=(5+1)/2是反映十方晶系准晶体所具有的准周期性的特殊无理数.     

点群10mm二维准晶和经典弹性半无限裂纹塑性模拟

研究平面弹性中点群10mm十次对称二维准晶和经典弹性半无限裂纹的Dugdale模型问题.采用保角变换和复分析理论,将这个问题转化成一组函数方程,从而推导出相应的应力强度因子和内聚力区域.结果显示,准晶声子场与各向同性体应力强度因子、内聚力区域尺寸是一致的.     

一维正方准晶平行于准周期方向的直位错及相互作用

研究一维正方准晶平行于准周期方向的直位错的平面弹性问题.在导出应力分量的复表示的基础上,利用广义复变方法,求解了一维正方准晶中两个平行的无限长直位错间的相互作用力问题,给出了相互作用力的解析表达式.
