Social and Linguistic Factors' Influences on Semantic Change in English Vocabulary

this paper aims to analyze the social and linguistic factors＇ influence on semantic change in English vocabulary. Mainly speaking, the social factors include social development, social context, social class, national feeling, racial feeling, gender different, and social value, and linguistic factors consist of generalization, specialization, amelioration, pejoration, metaphor and metonymy.

高校英语教师的语言能力和教学技能,在英语教师的职业发展中起着一定的促进和指导作用。但在中医国际化的新形势下,其指导作用显然已经落后于形势的发展。结合中医院校的实际和中医教育未来之发展趋势,从教师职业发展角度出发,论证了新形势下中医院校英语教师知识结构多元化的主要原因,提出了"复合型英语教师"的命题。
