多投影系统D-vision中双手6自由度力觉交互

D-vision系统(这里“D”有“DivideScreen”和“Duplex-Vision”双重含义)是一类基于PC机群的多投影虚拟现实系统(或简称多投影系统)。给出D-vision系统中双手6自由度力觉交互的实现过程:在客户端协同控制两个力觉交互设备Spidar-G(SpaceInterfaceforArtificialRealitywithGrip)实现双手协作交互,其次构造一个基于UDP的Socket类完成客户端和绘制服务器节点之间的通讯,传递跟踪球的位置、方向等信息;然后,通过分布绘制实现在大屏幕上无缝显示。最后实验结果表明:在D-vision系统中双手6自由度力觉交互是一种自然直观的人机交互方式。     

Effect of oridonin, a Rabdosia diterpenoid, on radiosensitization with misonidazole

The radiosensitization brought about by oridonin, one of the Rabdosia diterpenoids, alone or in combination with misonidazole, was investigated in Chinese hamster V79 cells. The enhancement ratio of 1.92 was obtained when 0.01 mM oridonin and 1 mM misonidazole were administered to hypoxic cells under radiation. The enhancement ratios of oridonin and misonidazole for hypoxic cells were 1.16 and 1.59 respectively. Hence, a supra-additive effect was obtained by the combined treatment with these two drugs. Under aerobic conditions, no effect of 0.01 mM oridonin on the radiosensitization caused by misonidazole was observed.     

混流式水轮机进动过程中转轮上冠转动流体力矩研究

通过模型实验和基于整体流动模型的数值模拟研究了混流式水轮机进动过程中作用在转轮上冠的转动流体力矩的基本特性.模型实验中的转轮用一个圆盘来模拟,其上冠与后顶盖之间形成一个很小的轴向间隙.内向流由外部水泵供给.检验分析了间隙内泄漏流速、径向间隙进口处的预旋速度和轴向间隙宽度对流体力矩的影响.研究结果表明,进动流体力矩在很小的正向进动角速率比区间内对转轮的进动具有自激效应,并且进口处预旋速度对自激区间的影响显著.通过对转轮进动过程中流体所产生的转动力矩在转轮旋转和不旋转两种情况下的比较,得出了法向流体力矩在转轮只有进动没有旋转的情况下对转轮的进动没有自激效应.法向流体力矩对进动所产生的自激效应是由转轮转动所形成的漩涡流引起的.     

Mode of use of sexually dimorphic glands in a Neotropical harvestman (Arachnida: Opiliones) with paternal care

Males of Iporangaia pustulosa (Arachnida: Opiliones) have a sexually dimorphic metatarsus IV, which is thicker and with more glandular pores in males. Here we tested the hypothesis that this glandular area is used by males to leave chemicals in the environment, predicting that the animals would rub the metatarsus IV against the substrate. We have made recordings both in the field and in the laboratory, in several distinct contexts during the day and at night, comprising 67 hours of observations. We also experimentally tested the reaction of both sexes to a filter paper rubbed on the metatarsus gland, with adequate controls. We report and describe for the first time that the metatarsal gland of I. pustulosa is used to leave chemicals on the substrate by rubbing or touching it against the substrate. We also provide evidence that males can control the release of secretions of the metatarsal gland IV.     

Whole-genome sequencing of liver cancers identifies etiological influences on mutation patterns and recurrent mutations in chromatin regulators

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. We sequenced and analyzed the whole genomes of 27 HCCs, 25 of which were associated with hepatitis B or C virus infections, including two sets of multicentric tumors. Although no common somatic mutations were identified in the multicentric tumor pairs, their whole-genome substitution patterns were similar, suggesting that these tumors developed from independent mutations, although their shared etiological backgrounds may have strongly influenced their somatic mutation patterns. Statistical and functional analyses yielded a list of recurrently mutated genes. Multiple chromatin regulators, including ARID1A, ARID1B, ARID2, MLL and MLL3, were mutated in ～50% of the tumors. Hepatitis B virus genome integration in the TERT locus was frequently observed in a high clonal proportion. Our whole-genome sequencing analysis of HCCs identified the influence of etiological background on somatic mutation patterns and subsequent carcinogenesis, as well as recurrent mutations in chromatin regulators in HCCs.     

Development of new hypoxic cell sensitizers: Amides of nitrobenzoic acid with spermidine and spermine

Summary New type hypoxic cell sensitizers, N¹, N¹⁰-bis(4-nitrobenzoyl)spermidine (1) and N¹,N¹⁴-bis(4-nitrobenzoyl)-spermine (2), have been developed. These compounds were shown to be more effective radiosensitizers to hypoxic cells than misonidazole (3).     

Frog's tongue receptive areas: neural organization and gustatory function.

Lateral and medial branch of the frog's IXth nerve innervates rostral third and caudal two-thirds of the tongue surface, respectively. The amounts of gustatory signals in these branches differ in proportion to the area they supply.
