Robust regression in biological assay: application to the evaluation of alternative experimental techniques

Summary Robust Huber type regression and testing of linear hypotheses are adapted to statistical analysis of parallel line and slope ratio assays. They are applied in the evaluation of results of several experiments carried out in order to compare and validate alternatives to animal experimentation based on embryo and cell cultures. Computational procedures necessary for the application of robust methods of analysis used the conversational statistical package ROBSYS. Special commands for the analysis of parallel line and slope ratio assays have been added to ROBSYS.     

Generalized measures of association for ranked data with an application to prediction accuracy

A common practice in cross validation research in the behavioral sciences is to employ either the product moment correlation or a simple tabulation of first-choice “hits” for measuring the accuracy with which various preference models predict subjects’ responses to a holdout sample of choice objects. We propose a nonparametric approach for summarizing the accuracy of predicted rankings across a set of holdout-sample options. The methods that we develop contain a novel way to deal with ties and an approach to the different weighting of rank positions.

35 ka BP climate simulations in East Asia and probing the mechanisms of climate changes

Interglacial or postglacial climates are all of charac-teristic of warmer conditions. However, if condition asso-ciated with the warm feature is wetter or drier than today,it would produce different impacts on natural environ-ments and human society. 水性形状记忆聚氨酯的合成及其在织物上的应用

聚己内酯二元醇(PCL)为结晶软段,异佛尔酮二异氰酸酯(IPDI)为硬段,合成硬段含量不同的一系列交联型水分散形状记忆聚氨酯(SMPU).通过FTIR、DSC、XRD、透湿性和形状记忆性能测试等,研究了硬段含量对形状记忆聚氨酯(SMPU)结构与性能的影响以及形状记忆聚氨酯在织物涂层上的应用.结果表明:随着硬段含量的提高,聚氨酯的结晶熔融温度升高,结晶度下降,形状回复率先增大再减小.当硬段为28.6%时,形状回复率达到最大为94%.经SMPU处理过的织物随着SMPU硬段含量的增加,透湿量降低;随着温度的升高,透湿量增大.形状回复角较未经处理的织物原样有明显增大.     

Petrogenesis of Aoyougou high-silica adakite in the North Qilian orogen, NW China: Evidence for decompression melting of oceanic slab

A trondhjemitic body occurs in the Aoyougou area,the western part of the North Qilian orogen.It is geochemically characterized by high SiO 2,Na 2 O (high Na/K),elevated Sr/Y and (La/Yb) N,positive Sr anomaly,relatively enriched large ion lithophile elements (LILEs) and light rare earth elements (LREEs),and depleted Nb,Ta,Ti,resembling the high-silica adakite.Zircon U-Pb SHRIMP dating yields a weighted mean age of 438±3 Ma.This age is significantly younger than eclogitization ages of 460-490 Ma in the North Qilian orogen,suggesting that formation of the adakite postdates the subduction of oceanic crust in association with closure of the ancient Qilian Ocean.Whole-rock Sr and Nd isotopic analyses give initial ratios of I Sr =0.7044 0.7047 and Nd (t)=3.0 4.1,indicating that they are derived from partial melting of the juvenile oceanic crust.In view of the tectonic evolution of the North Qilian orogen,the high-silica adakite was probably derived from decompression melting of the exhumed eclogite at the depth of ～60 km.     

某矮塔斜拉桥0号梁段空间应力分析

某秋浦河大桥主桥为矮塔斜拉桥.因0号梁段的构造和受力较为复杂,保证它的质量与受力安全非常重要.文章基于静力等效原理提出一种简化建模方法,并采用通用有限元软件建立了0号梁段的局部计算模型,分析该部位的空间应力传递和分布特点.通过计算分析可知,0号梁段除局部外,整体以受压为主,工程中应充分注意塔下梁段、支座处混凝土的竖向承压设计及塔梁交接处、支座处混凝土的局部抗裂设计.
