The effects of temperature on ATPase activity and force generation in skinned muscle fibers from the Pacific blue marlin (Makaira nigricans)

Summary ATPase activity and force generation have been measured simultaneously in isolated, demembranated muscle fibers of the Pacific blue marlin (Makaira nigricans) between 0 and 30°C. Tension generation is relatively independent of temperature above 15°C and falls with a Q₁₀ of <1.5 on decreasing the temperature to 0°C. In contrast, the Q₁₀ for ATPase activity is 2.2 over the range 0–30°C. The results are interpreted in terms of the cross bridge theory of contraction.     

Effect of mycotoxin (T-2 toxin) on catecholamine and Na+, K+-ATPase levels in rat epididymis

Summary The effect of mycotoxin (T-2 toxin) on catecholamines and Na⁺, K⁺-ATPase activities in rat epididymis has been evaluated. Dopamine and norepinephrine levels were significantly elevated in the caput and corpus regions whereas their levels remained unchanged in the caudal part of the epididymis. Na⁺, K⁺-ATPase activity was significantly increased in all the three regions of rat epididymis as a result of the toxin treatment. These changes may suggest an adverse effect on epididymal functions in rats.     

Araplysillins-I and-II: Biologically active dibromotyrosine derivatives from the spongePsammaplysilla arabica

Summary Araplysillins-I and-II, two novel dibromotyrosine derivatives, were isolated fromPsammaplysilla arabica and their structure was elucidated by spectroscopic methods. They proved to be inhibitors of Na⁺/K⁺ ATPase and to have antimicrobial activity.

煤浆法烟气脱硫与传统的Fe2+/Fe3+催化氧化脱硫工艺在脱硫机理上是一致的,但是由于煤浆法烟气脱硫过程中的Fe2+/Fe3+是在反应过程中逐渐浸出的,这使得两者之间又存在一定的差异。本文比较了两者在不同温度、二氧化硫浓度以及氧气浓度情况下脱硫效率的异同,并分析了可能的原因。

无机-有机杂化材料的制备及其对Cu^2＋吸附性能研究

通过正硅酸乙酯（TEOS）与钛酸正丁酯（Ti（OC4H9）4）间的醇解反应和溶胶-凝胶法制备了一系列无机-有机杂化材料，并观察了Cu^2＋的浓度、体系的pH值等参数对Cu^2＋吸附性能的影响．结果表明：随着杂化材料中钛含量的增加，它们的比表面积随之增大．Cu^2＋吸附实验表明：该类杂化材料确实能够吸附Cu^2＋，而且不同比例的Si／Ti杂化材料对Cu^2＋的吸附能力不同．因此该类杂化材料能够用于废水中Cu^2＋的分离和回收，所以在废水处理等环境保护方面具有潜在的应用价值．
