函数型部分线性可加模型及其估计

对于函数型回归模型,提出一种更一般的半参模型,这个模型能够同时克服参数模型和非参数模型的不足,从而获得更稳健的估计。研究了函数型部分线性可加模型中的参数估计问题,并且建立了估计量的渐近性质,同时推广了现有文献中的相关结果。

西藏沙棘(Hippophae tibetana)的花期、花形态及其花朵数量的初步研究

文章通过对分布在西藏墨竹工卡县日多境内的西藏沙棘种群的样方调查,描述了西藏沙棘的花期、雌雄花的形态特征,比较两个不同海拔样带(4200m和4400m)内的西藏沙棘花朵数量的差异。结果表明,西藏沙棘在该研究地内的花期一般是5-6月,雄花比雌花的开放要早3～4天,一标准雄花枝产生的平均花朵数量比雌花枝平均花朵数量多,但两个海拔样带内的花朵数量无显著差异。

基于HMM语音合成的语调控制

语调是语音分析和合成领域关注的重要课题,可计算的语调模型是实现语调控制的关键。该文分析了大规模语句的音节音高在句子中的变化,归纳了语调模式。陈述语调主要表现为基调的升降和音高下倾;疑问语调主要特点是疑问焦点的音高提升和调型变化。该文提出了一种陈述语调归一化描述方法,以及疑问语调调型差异模型。利用基于隐Markov模型的语音合成系统的控制机制,实现了对语调的控制。实验表明:基于陈述句语调归一化描述方法模拟了陈述句语调的变化,基于疑问语调调型差异模型实现了陈述到疑问语调的转换。语调控制使合成语音的表现力得到了提高。     

Performance prediction for Grid workflow activities based on features-ranked RBF network

Accurate performance prediction of Grid workflow activities can help Grid schedulers map activities to appropriate Grid sites.This paper describes an approach based on features-ranked RBF neural network to predict the performance of Grid workflow activities.Experimental results for two kinds of real world Grid workflow activities are presented to show effectiveness of our approach.

Community-Based User Domain Model Collaborative Recommendation Algorithm

Collaborative Filtering (CF) is a commonly used technique in recommendation systems. It can promote items of interest to a target user from a large selection of available items. It is divided into two broad classes: memory-based algorithms and model-based algorithms. The latter requires some time to build a model but recommends online items quickly, while the former is time-consuming but does not require pre-building time. Considering the shortcomings of the two types of algorithms, we propose a novel Community-based User domain Collaborative Recommendation Algorithm (CUCRA). The idea comes from the fact that recommendations are usually made by users with similar preferences. The first step is to build a user-user social network based on users’ preference data. The second step is to find communities with similar user preferences using a community detective algorithm. Finally, items are recommended to users by applying collaborative filtering on communities. Because we recommend items to users in communities instead of to an entire social network, the method has perfect online performance. Applying this method to a collaborative tagging system, experimental results show that the recommendation accuracy of CUCRA is relatively good, and the online time-complexity reduces to O.n/.     

Lysosomal chymotrypsin B potentiates apoptosis via cleavage of Bid

We have reported that chymotrypsin B (CtrB) is not just a digestive enzyme but is also stored in lysosomes. Herein, we demonstrated a broad distribution of CtrB and explored the involvement of CtrB in apoptosis. Exposure of RH-35 cells to H₂O₂ or palmitate induced the redistribution of lysosomal CtrB into the cytoplasm as a result of lysosomal membrane permeabilization (LMP). Suppression of CtrB significantly blocked apoptosis, while overexpression of CtrB sensitized apoptosis markedly. CtrB could cleave Bid under neutral conditions. In RH-35 cells with Bid silenced, apoptosis induced by CtrB protein was attenuated, suggesting that CtrB mediates apoptosis of RH-35 cells mainly through processing Bid. Our data also suggest that LMP occurs earlier than mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization; Bid activation initiated by caspase-8 might be reinforced by CtrB in consequence of LMP, which causes a positive feedback loop leading to the accumulation of tBid, and results in lysosome- and mitochondrion-dependent apoptosis.     

Quantum programming: From theories to implementations

This paper surveys the new field of programming methodology and techniques for future quantum computers, including design of sequential and concurrent quantum programming languages, their semantics and implementations. Several verification methods for quantum programs and communication protocols are also reviewed. The potential applications of programming techniques and related formal methods in quantum engineering are pointed out.
