数学实验课程建设的研究

数学实验是我国高校新开设的一门课程，目前正处于探索和试点阶段。本文结合教学实际，就如何设计数学实验课程的教学内容、教学方法等进行了系统的讨论。     

Neurosecretion and hydroelectrolytic regulation in Artemia salina (author's transl)]

The activity of Artemia protocerebral median neurosecretory cells is stimulated when animals are grown in media whose tonicity is lower than that of sea weater. The substance liberated by these cells could regulate the tonicity of the internal medium.     

Renin in mouse but not in rat submandibular glands

Renin was found in the submandibular glands of male Quackenbush mice in concentrations higher than has been reported for any tissue of any strain or species. However, no renin-like activity could e detected in glands from male and female Wistar rats using either pH 5.8 or 7.4 for assay and a radioimmunoassay specific for renin's reaction product, angiotensin I. Rabbit submandibular glands contained renin.

A specific protein in the genusRhynchosciara (Diptera,Sciaridae)

Summary Proteins immunologically related toRhynchosciara americana larval protein 10 occur in the hemolymph and ovaries of five different fly species of the genusRhynchosciara. Electrophoretic analyses showed these proteins to have a mol.wt similar to that of theR. americana protein 10 (43,000), e.g. theR. hollanderi protein 44,300, theR. milleri protein 45,500.     

The response of cyclic 3',5'-AMP and cyclic 3',5'-GMP phosphodiesterases to experimental diabetes

Alloxan diabetes caused a decrease in cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase in all affected rat tissues. Cyclic GMP phosphodiesterase activity was, however, decreased in adipose and liver, but increased increased in heart and uterus.     

Measurements on the electrical resistivity of thin nickel films

Résumé Dans une publication antérieure, nous avions signalé que le coefficient de température de la résistance électrique des films en nickel était négatif en dessous d'une certaine épaisseur critique (40 mµ). Au-dessus de 40 mµ, la courbe «Résistance en fonction de la température» présentait un minimum aux basses températures. A la suite de nouvelles expériences, nous avons constaté que ce phénomène est accompagné d'une déviation de la loi d'Ohm: la résistance diminue quand le courant de mesure augmente. Nous avons pu conclure que ces deux particularités ne sont qu'indirectement provoquées par la minceur des films. La cause principale est leur état de cristallisation imparfaite. En effet, après avoir subi un échauffement à 150° C pendant plusieurs heures, le coefficient de température négatif change de signe (le minimum disparaît) et la loi d'Ohm est respectée.

Structural differences between a ras oncogene protein and the normal protein

One of the most commonly found transforming ras oncogenes in human tumours has a valine codon replacing the glycine codon at position 12 of the normal c-Ha-ras gene. To understand the structural reasons behind cell transformation arising from this single amino acid substitution, we have determined the crystal structure of the GDP-bound form of the mutant protein, p21(Val-12), encoded by this oncogene. We report here the overall structure of p21(Val-12) at 2.2 A resolution and compare it with the structure of the normal c-Ha-ras protein. One of the major differences is that the loop of the transforming ras protein that binds the beta-phosphate of the guanine nucleotide is enlarged. Such a change in the 'catalytic site' conformation could explain the reduced GTPase activity of the mutant, which keeps the protein in the GTP bound 'signal on' state for a prolonged period time, ultimately causing cell transformation.
