Clothing manufacturers' direct investment and joint ventures in developing regions have seen to grow rapidly in the past few decades. Non-optimized selection can contribute to adverse effects affecting the performance of the plants on aspects of productivity, manufacturing and logistics cost. Selection of proper plant location is thus crucial. The conventional approaches to sites location are based on the factors and their weights. However, determining the weight of each factor is very difficult and time consuming. While the situation is changed, all the work must be redone again. This study aims to develop a decision-making system on clothing plant location for Hoog Kong clothing manufacturer. The proposed system utilizes artificial neural network to study the relationship between the factors and the suitability index of candidate sites. Firstly, the factors are stratified using the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) by review the related references and interviewing the experts. Secondly, the corresponding data are collected from the experts by questionnaire and the related government publication. Finally, the feedforward neural network with error backpropagation(EBP) learning algorithm is trained and applied to make decision. The results show that the proposed system performs well and has the characteristic of adaptability and plasticity.  相似文献

Mechanical properties and low cycle fatigue are two factors that must be considered in developin gnew type steel for shock absorption. Process capability and process control are significant factors in achieving the purpose of research and development programs. Often-used evaluation methods failed to measure processyield and process centering ; so this paper uses Taguchi loss function as basis to establish an evaluation methodand the steps for assessing the quality of mechanical properties and process control of an iron and steel manu-facturer. The establishment of this method can serve the research and development and manufacturing industry and lay a foundation in enhancing its process control ability to select better manufacturing processes that are more reliable than decision making by using the other commonly used methods.  相似文献

This paper introduces a non-assembly manufacturing case with microstereolithography technology. The design and manufacturing process of a pneumatic thrust bearing is described, and a special tessellation method is developed to further improve the capability of the manufacturing system thus bigger products can also be easily manufactured. Implemented in a layer-by-layer fashion, stereolithography has been used for the rapid manufacturing of complex devices, and it avoids the expensive assembly process in the traditional manufacturing. This paper presents that microstereolithography can produce high-resolution products with intricate details, small openings, and smooth surfaces. The potential of the microstereolithograhy technique is explored for the rapid manufacturing of small and complex objects.  相似文献

After nearly one hundred years of research, metallurgy(metallurgical science and engineering) has gradually become a system with three levels of knowledge:(1) micro metallurgy at the atomic/molecular scale,(2) process metallurgy at the procedure/device, and(3) macrodynamic metallurgy at the full process/process group. Macro-dynamic metallurgy development must eliminate the concept of an "isolated system" and establish concepts of "flow," "process network," and "operating program" to study the "structure–function–efficiency" in the macrodynamic operation of metallurgical manufacturing processes. It means considering "flow" as the ontology and observing dynamic change by"flow" to solve the green and intelligent potential of metallurgical enterprises. Metallurgical process engineering is integrated metallurgy, toplevel designed metallurgy, macro-dynamic operated metallurgy, and engineering science level metallurgy. Metallurgical process engineering is a cross-level, comprehensive, and integrated study of the macro-dynamic operation of manufacturing processes. Metallurgical process engineering studies the physical nature and constitutive characteristics of the dynamic operation of steel manufacturing process, as well as the analysis-optimization of the set of procedure functions, coordination-optimization of the set of procedures' relations, and reconstruction-optimization of the set of procedures in the manufacturing process. The study establishes rules for the macro operation of the manufacturing process, as well as dynamic and precise objectives of engineering design and production operation.  相似文献

Dimensional quality is one of the most critical challenges in industries, which uses the multistage manufacturing process (MMP) such as assembly and machining for automotive and aerospace industries.According to investigations, fixture faults accounted for 72% of all the dimensional faults. Previous studies focused on only one fault or multiple faults occurred in one station or one fault in multiple stations, but these cases rarely appear in the real manufacturing. This paper presents a method for diagnosis of multiple fixture faults in the multi-station manufacturing process. The proposed method is based on the state space model of the MMP processes, which carries the information of the fixture layout geometry and sensor position. To identify the root cause, three continuous steps were used: a) development of the state space model and the construction of the statistics variables on offline mode, b) measurement of the coordinate measuring machines data on online mode and calculation of the statistics variables, and c) diagnostic algorithm for identifying the root cause. The presented paper integrates the state space model of the manufacturing processes and hypothesis test considering the impact of the measure noises. A case study verifies the proposed method.  相似文献

The prediction problem of the actual value of the dynamic parameters in the simulation model in semiconductor manufacturing was discussed. Considering the fact that the default value of processing time of one certain equipment in the simulation model was not the same as its actual value. a general data driven prediction model of the processing time was built based on support vector regression (SVR) , with the utilization of manufacturing information in manufacturing execution system (MES). The processing time of one certain equipment was highly related to the status of the equipment itself and the wafers being processed. To uncover the relationship of the processing time with the information of historical products. process flow. technical standard of silicon wafers and manual intervention. data were extracted from MES and used to build a prediction model. This model was employed on an ion implantation equipment as a case. and the effectiveness of the proposed method was shown by comparing with other approaches.  相似文献

Japan is the largest trade mate of China. But the share of Japanese direct investment in China among all foreign direct Investments is becoming smaller and smaller. Most Japanese related enterprises in China are running badly. This is the result of the "swan ranks development model" . Workers employed by Japanese manufacturing industry are becoming fewer and fewer as a result of shifting production workshops abroad; on the other hand, resold goods from overseas Japanese related enterprises to Japan are becoming more and more. This phenomenon is called "industry hollowing out", the process of which is nothing, but the process of alliance of regional economy in Southeast Asia, creating large space for the development of new manufacturing industries in Japan. This is inevitable for Japan, who desires to be an economical power in the world. Increasing size of wind turbine and deep water deployment have raised the issue of appropriate selection of the most suitable support structure to make offshore wind energy cost competitive.The paper presents an optimization methodology for decision making process of bottom mounted supports of offshore wind turbines (OWTs) through reasonable engineering attributes derivation.Mathematic models of support structures are reduced by the generalized single-degree-of-freedom theory with relatively fewer structural parameters.Soft-stiff design optimization based on dynamic properties of OWTs is performed for monopile and lattice supports with different wind turbines,water depth and hub height.Attributes of support structures,wind turbines and environment conditions are applied in the multi-criteria decision making method——TOPSIS for benchmarking of those options.The results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimazation methodology combined with economical and environmental attributes together.  相似文献
