An outline of the varieties of the second-order systems sciences

The systems sciences are based on a universal language of systems which can be used within most academic disciplines in their endeavors for exploring the world. Currently, systems sciences cover a wide variety of different approaches like complex adaptive systems, resilient systems or systems engineering. One of the future extensions of the systems sciences comes through the applications of second-order systems science as a new field of reflexive studies on first-order systems science. This article provides a general background on the relations of first-order science and second-order science in general and then goes on to sketch a basic outline for the second-order systems sciences and their potentials for quality control and for innovations for the first-order systems sciences.     

Robust output regulation problem for discrete-time linear systems with both input and communication delays

Recently, the robust output regulation problem for continuous-time linear systems with both input and communication time-delays was studied. This paper will further present the results on the robust output regulation problem for discrete-time linear systems with input and communication delays. The motivation of this paper comes from two aspects. First, it is known that the solvability of the output regulation problem for linear systems is dictated by two matrix equations. While, for delay-free systems, these two matrix equations are same for both continuous-time systems and discrete-time systems, they are different for continuous-time time-delay systems and discrete-time time-delay systems. Second, the stabilization methods for continuous-time timedelay systems and discrete-time time-delay systems are also somehow different. Thus, an independent treatment of the robust output regulation problem for discrete-time time-delay systems will be useful and necessary.

网络化控制系统与传统结构的控制系统相比具有许多优点,但经网络传输的控制信号所带来的随机时延、丢包、异步等问题会影响闭环控制系统的性能,因此需要发展可在网络环境工作的系统的控制理论和技术。故障诊断与容错控制对于控制工程实践特别是对安全性有严格要求的控制系统是十分重要的。近年来,我们较为系统地开展了网络化控制系统故障诊断与容错控制的研究工作从而可对故障诊断的主要研究结果进行概述。     

Global asymptotic stability of a class of nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainty

Stability of a class of nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainty is dealt with. This kind of systems can be viewed as feedback interconnection systems. By constructing the Lyapunov function for one of the feedback interconnection systems, the Lyapunov function for this kind of systems is obtained. Sufficient conditions of global asymptotic stability for this class of systems axe deduced. The simulation shows the effectiveness of the method.     

不确定广义系统的镇定

针对输出反馈下不确定广义系统的可镇定问题,从状态反馈下闭环广义系统的稳定性问题入手,利用矩阵不等式,依次给出不确定广义系统可镇定、关联不确定广义大系统的分散可镇定、以及关联不确定广义大系统在执行器故障、传感器故障下分散可镇定的充分条件。由此推广到输出反馈,给出了输出反馈意义下的广义系统可镇定、关联不确定广义大系统的分散可镇定、以及关联不确定广义大系统在执行器故障、传感器故障下分散可镇定的充分条件(即完整性设计)。其中反馈控制器的设计方法简明而又统一,便于应用。最后用数值例子来验证所给结果的有效性。

考虑动态重构的装备体系可用性及弹性分析

要素协同作战框架下武器装备体系具有可动态重构的系统特性, 既增加了体系的复杂性和交互性, 又使其具有了更为明显的弹性特征。本文首先提出了装备体系弹性多层级评价方法, 确定了组成体系的关键装备要素。其次, 以典型的关键装备要素——武器系统为对象, 提出了基于动态双阈值多状态权重k-out-of-n系统模型的装备体系的性能可用性及弹性分析评价方法。最后, 以编队协同防空作战体系为对象进行案例应用研究, 得到了性能阈值恒定、随时间变化和动态变化这3种情况下的火力网可用度和弹性随时间变化的规律, 并验证了所提模型与评价方法的有效性与实用性。     

Switching control system based on robust model reference adaptive control

For conventional adaptive control, time-varying parametric uncertainty and unmodeled dynamics are ticklish problems, which will lead to undesirable performance or even instability and nonrobust behavior, respectively. In this study, a class of discrete-time switched systems with unmodeled dynamics is taken into consideration. Moreover, nonlinear systems are here supposed to be approximated with the class of switched systems considered in this paper, and thereby switching control design is investigated for both switched systems and nonlinear systems to assure stability and performance. For robustness against unmodeled dynamics and uncertainty, robust model reference adaptive control (RMRAC) law is developed as the basis of controller design for each individual subsystem in the switched systems or nonlinear systems. Meanwhile, two different switching laws are presented for switched systems and nonlinear systems, respectively. Thereby, the authors incorporate the corresponding switching law into the RMRAC law to construct two schemes of switching control respectively for the two kinds of controlled systems. Both closed-loop analyses and simulation examples are provided to illustrate the validity of the two proposed switching control schemes. Furthermore, as to the proposed scheme for nonlinear systems, its potential for practical application is demonstrated through simulations of longitudinal control for F-16 aircraft.
