作者还是读者——目的论视域下《红楼梦》英译本的文化误读

文化误读在文学作品翻译中普遍存在,《红楼梦》在海外传播中也不可避免地存在着诸多＂文化误读＂现象。本文从目的论的视角,以霍克斯的《红楼梦》译本为范例,对其中有意识地文化误读现象进行客观分析,认为在批评这些误读的同时,应看到译者当时的翻译目的,从而更好地了解误读的根源,更加客观地看待霍克斯的译本及其在当时的背景下产生的积极效果和对《红楼梦》的海外传播作出的贡献。     

《红楼梦》翻译的译者主体性

《红楼梦》是中国四大经典名著之一,是一部反映中国封建社会、文化、历史、生活的百科全书,至今已被翻译成许多版本。《红楼梦》的翻译无论是对促进中外文化的交流,介绍中国的古典文化遗产,还是对译者主体性的研究都具有重要意义。从译者主体性的角度分析了《红楼梦》译本的多样性,探讨了不同译本产生的原因。     

从归化和异化论看《骆驼祥子》的三个英译本中人名的翻译

《骆驼祥子》有三个著名的英译本：我国著名的英译家施晓箐翻译的CamelXiangzi、通晓中国文化的汉学家詹姆斯的译本Rickshaw以及伊万·金的译本RickshawBoy。三个译本中对小说人名的翻译各有千秋,使用了多种翻译方法,其中最突出的是归化和异化理论的运用,体现了不同译者在不同社会时代对文化输入的不同要求以及译者所持的文化态度、译文读者的文化接受心理。     

《孙子兵法》复译中的文化误读与译者身份之辨——基于副文本描述的Minford译本个案研究

《孙子兵法》英语复译本在“中学西传”中发挥了无可替代的关键作用。由于中西方文化差异的存在,西方译者对中国文化进行解读时不可避免地会出现误读。任何的误读形式都与译者身份密切相关。就《孙子兵法》Minford译本而言,译者采取的有意识误读的翻译策略是由其多重文化政治身份所决定的。本文尝试从文化社会学的“文化误读”概念入手,基于对Minford译本副文本的描述与解释,探讨“文化误读”与“译者身份”之间的内在联系,从而提出译者对源文本的误读反映了译者本人及译者所属群体的社会心理及意识形态观念。     

文化移情在翻译中的重要性

文化移情对有着两次交际过程的翻译有重要意义.文化移情能促使译者或目的语读者通过源语文化的框架和利用源语文化的感知去解读源语文本或译本,从而使译本更准确地表达源语文本,读者所得反应更接近源语文本读者的反应.移情还能使译者设身处地地为潜在的读者着想,从而确保读者能够正确解读译本,使翻译达到预期目的.     

从《红字》译本看文学翻译风格的传达（英文）

风格翻译是文学翻译的重要组成部分,在译本研究中受到高度重视。在译者主体性理论关照下,本文主要通过分析姚乃强《红字》译本的风格在词汇、句法、修辞和文化层面的传达。通过分析发现译本的风格与原文风格基本和谐一致,于是原文的风格得以在译文中重塑。通过对本文的研究,可以发现译者尽可能地发挥了主观能动性,也译文更好地体现了原文的风格。     

理解与表达《红楼梦》两个英译本的对比研究

作为源语语言和译语语言文化的媒介,译者在翻译中的作用是至关重要的。不同的译者会有不同的译作。特别是在文学翻译中,不同的作者译出不同的译文,更是司空见惯。文章立足于《红楼梦》的杨宪益、戴乃迭的译本和霍克斯的译本的比较,从理解和表达两个方面做一个初步的比较研究,展示二者之异同。     

《红楼梦》两个英译本中配饰翻译的对比与鉴赏

中国古典文学名著《红楼梦》被广泛视为中国古典文学作品宝库中最光彩夺目的一颗明珠,小说内容涵盖了封建社会的政治、经济、文化、教育、宗教、习俗等,有多种语言译本。其英译本中有两个公认比较成功的版本：一个版本为中国翻译家杨宪益及其夫人戴乃迭所译;另一个版本为英国译者霍克斯及其女婿约翰·明福德所译。文章尝试对比这两个译本中关于人物配饰的翻译,从中选取一些包含文化因素的实例进行对比分析,说明归化翻译和异化翻译在文化信息传递方面所起的不同作用;进而说明不同的翻译方法和策略可以达到译者不同的翻译目的,而达到了翻译目的的译本就是优秀的译本。     

基于语料库的翻译意识形态研究——《麦田里的守望者》不同译本脏话翻译差异的原因探析

本文用语料库检索方法对孙仲旭和施咸荣《麦田里的守望者》中译本中脏话处理的差异进行了量化比较,结合勒费弗尔的翻译理论,从意识形态的视角对两个译本中脏话的不同处理的原因进行了探析。验证了翻译过程受到意识形态的操控,包括译者个人意识形态和译者所处社会的主流意识形态两部分。而两种意识形态交互影响,通过译者的主体性导致了译者翻译行为上的变通以及翻译结果的不同。     

巧妙合璧中西文化,准确传递多元信息——浅析《红楼梦》两个英文译本

中国古典小说《红楼梦》蕴含着丰富的历史文化内涵,要把这部鸿篇巨制翻译成代表西方文化的英语,其中所遇到的困难是多方面的。迄今为止,《红楼梦》有两个英译版本影响较大:一是霍译本(英国翻译家大卫.霍克斯及其女婿约翰.闵福德合译的The Story of the Stone);二是杨译本(中国翻译家杨宪益与戴乃迭夫妇翻译的A Dream of Red Mansions)。由于这两个英文译本的译者采用了不同的翻译策略,因而所传递的文化信息也不尽相同。本文通过列举《红楼梦》两个英译本中的一些译例,比较分析了这两个译本的文化信息翻译以及译者所采用的不同的翻译策略,以进一步探讨译者的翻译创作特点。     

Markedness and its Interpretation in Language Use

Language markedness is a common phenomenon in languages, and is reflected from hearing, vision and sense, i.e. the variation in the three aspects such as phonology, morphology and semantics. This paper focuses on the interpretation of markedness in language use following the three perspectives, i.e. pragmatic interpretation, psychological interpretation and cognitive interpretation, with an aim to define the function of markedness.     

Characterization of Ordovician carbonate reservoirs, southeastern Saskatchewan, Canada

The discovery of the prolific Ordovician Red River reservoirs in 1995 in southeastern Saskatchewan was the catalyst for extensive exploration activity which resulted in the discovery of more than 15 new Red River pools. The best yields of Red River production to date have been from dolomite reservoirs. Understanding the processes of dolomitization is, therefore, crucial for the prediction of the connectivity, spatial distribution and heterogeneity of dolomite reservoirs.The Red River reservoirs in the Midale area consist of 3～4 thin dolomitized zones, with a total thickness of about 20 m, which occur at the top of the Yeoman Formation. Two types of replacement dolomite were recognized in the Red River reservoir: dolomitized burrow infills and dolomitized host matrix. The spatial distribution of dolomite suggests that burrowing organisms played an important role in facilitating the fluid flow in the backfilled sediments. This resulted in penecontemporaneous dolomitization of burrow infills by normal seawater. The dolomite in the host matrix is interpreted as having occurred at shallow burial by evaporitic seawater during precipitation of Lake Almar anhydrite that immediately overlies the Yeoman Formation. However, the low δ18O values of dolomited burrow infills (-5.9‰～ -7.8‰, PDB) and matrix dolomites (-6.6‰～ -8.1‰, avg. -7.4‰ PDB) compared to the estimated values for the late Ordovician marine dolomite could be attributed to modification and alteration of dolomite at higher temperatures during deeper burial, which could also be responsible for its 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.7084～0.7088) that are higher than suggested for the late Ordovician seawaters (0.7078～0.7080). The trace amounts of saddle dolomite cement in the Red River carbonates are probably related to "cannibalization" of earlier replacement dolomite during the chemical compaction.

低渗透非均质砂岩油藏启动压力梯度研究

理论推导与室内实验相结合,建立了低渗透非均质砂岩油藏启动压力梯度确定方法。首先借助油藏流场与电场相似的原理,推导了非均质砂岩油藏启动压力梯度计算公式。其次基于稳定流实验方法,建立了非均质砂岩油藏启动压力梯度测试方法。结果表明:低渗透非均质砂岩油藏的启动压力梯度确定遵循两个等效原则。平面非均质油藏的启动压力梯度等于各级渗透率段的启动压力梯度关于长度的加权平均;纵向非均质油藏的启动压力梯度等于各渗透率层的启动压力梯度关于渗透率与渗流面积乘积的加权平均。研究成果可用于有效指导低渗透非均质砂岩油藏的合理井距确定,促进该类油藏的高效开发。

海南岛地体及其毗邻陆缘晚中生代—新生代古地磁研究和构造演化

本文叙述了对海南岛及其毗邻大陆边缘白垩纪到第四纪地层岩石进行古地磁研究的全部工作过程。通过分析岩石中剩余磁矢量的磁偏角及磁倾角的变化,提出海南岛白垩纪以来经历的构造演化模式如下:早期伴随顺时针旋转而向南迁移,后期伴随逆时针转动并向北运移。联系该地区及邻区的地质、地球物理资料,对海南岛上述的构造地体运动提出以下认识:北部湾内早期有一拉张作用,主要是该作用使湾内地壳显著伸长减薄,形成北部湾盆地。从而导致了海南岛的早期构造运动,而海南岛后期的构造运动则主要是受南海海底扩张的影响。海南地体运动规律的阐明对于了解北部湾油气盆地的形成演化有重要的理论和实际意义。
