黄腹角雉在江西的分布与保护

1998-2002年在江西对黄腹角雉(Tragopancaboti)的分布及栖息生境进行了调查,确证有7个分布点,另有2个可能分布点。黄腹角雉在江西的栖息生境主要有低山常绿阔叶林、常绿与落叶阔叶混交林、亚中山草甸与山顶矮林3种类型。栖息环境承载量小,种群增长慢,人类活动干扰以及宣传不力是黄腹角雉濒危的主要因素,据此提出开展驯养繁殖、加强禁止偷猎的法制宣传以及加强基础研究的保护建议。

The distribution and conservation of yellow-bellied tragopan in jiangxi province

A survey on the distribution and habitat of Yellow-bellied Fragopan(Tragpan caboti)in Jiangxi Province was undertaken from 1998 to 2002,resulting in confirmation of the present occurrence of the species in seven localities,together with two additional possible localities in Jiangxi Province.Yellow-bellied Tragpans were most frequently encountered in three types of habitats:low mountain evergreen broadleaf tree,evergreen and deciduous tree as well as subalpine meadow and hilltop coppice.Threats to the survival of this pheasant arise from the low carrying capacity of the habitat,low growth rate of the population,human disturbance,and low public awareness.Based on this study,we recommended pilot programs of captive breeding,regulation of poaching,and encouragement of basic biological research for effective protection.
