| Abstract: | Summary A comparison was made between the development of post-implantation rat embryos in human serum and rat serum. Protein synthesis (growth) and somite number (differentiation) were retarded in human serum and there was an increased frequency of neural tube defects. Male and female human sera supported development equally well. |
