| Abstract: | In this paper the method of real-time adjustment of flood forecast for large river systems is developed based on the analysis of real-time flood forecast and real-time adjustment.The model of both flood forecast and real-time adjustment is combined reasonably in the present method according to the locations of the discharge and stage station.The real-time adjustment method has been used in the flood stage forecast for the Huai River and the problem of variable backwater is partially solved. The accuracy of stage forecast is largely improved and the result can satisfy the need of management. |
