言不尽意与文学艺术

言意关系是困扰了中国人数千年的老问题。在中国，从古至今，主张“言不尽意”的向来比主张“言尽意”的多。如果把“意”的外延确定为思想和情感，并且认为，一方面，明晰的语言可以把思想表达清楚，另一方面，虽然直接用语言在绝对意义上无法把感情表达完整，但是通过语言塑造形象就能够让受话人“触景生情”，使受话人能够对说话人所要传达的情感“感同身受”。因此，“言不尽意”的根本性困境是不存在的，文学作为语言艺术还大有作为。

On Language and Literature

Using languages directly can totally express the thought but not the emotion,however, we can mould the image through the language ,which let readers understand the author's emotion in the scene,so we believe it is a wrong view that languages can not express the thought and the emotion totally, and Literature does not have a fundamental predicament.
