Incommensurability is central thesis in T.S.Kuhn's writings of philosophy of science,and it has been criticized by many scholars.After publishing The Structure of Scientific Revolution,Kuhn had to exert much effort to clarify this thesis.He developed from vision gestalt,meaning-change in using of language,to local incommensurability,finally the lexicon,or taxonomic categories.Paralleling the development of knowledge with biological evolution,he argued for a new version of truth theory.Indeed,the road since structure Kuhn took is the path to a clearer understanding of incommensurability.
