Abstract: | Summary YG 19-256, 4-(1,3,4,9b-tetrahydro-5 methyl-2H-indeno1,2-c]pyridine-2-yl)-2-butanone methane sulphonate, 1–3 mg/kg i.v., abolished or reduced photically-induced myoclonic responses for 1.5–6.5 h in baboons,Papio papio, without producing signs of acute neurological toxicity.We thank the Medical Research Council, The Wellcome Trust and the British Epilepsy Association for financial support, and Drs D.M.
