| Abstract: | This paper makes a computeraided investigation of approximate inverter current waveforms for three\|phase PWM inverters. The investigation indicates that the average and rms inverter currents are simple fuctions of a single factor eqnal to the product of the power factor and the modulation index. These fuctions have been expressed as per\|unit equations making the design of new inverters simple and precise. |
