| Abstract: | In A Dream of Red Mansions,there are a lot of pets raised.The parrot,raised by Dai Yu,is an implied image of being kept in gold cage,far away from hometown and being envied in ancient poetry.The author,Cao Xue-qin,intended to take this image to imply the loneliness and tragic fate of Dai Yu. |
