摘    要:征婚广告是一种登载在媒体上的个人信息,发布人旨在为建立可能的婚姻关系寻找异性伴侣。通过对中国和美国报刊杂志刊登的征婚广告对比分析,可以发现两国人在择偶标准方面既有共性,更有差异。在许多情况下,中国人所注重的许多因素恰恰是美国人所忽视的。差异产生的根源主要在于两国不同的文化价值观念。

Abstract:Mate-selection advertisement is a kind of personal information carried on various forms of media. The person who issues it intends to find a partner of opposite sex for the possible establishment of marriage relationship. This paper analyses differences in cultural values manifested by such advertisements in China and the US. It is found that both similarities and differences exist between them in terms of cultural value orientation.
