英国议会向近代转型的社会基础

中世纪，英国的封建等级代表权力机关——议会，在其产生后职能不断增多，不仅成为国家机器中一个相对独立的权力实体，在政治实践中发挥切实有效的作用，而且成为新兴政治力量活动的政治舞台和对抗王权的阵地，并且经过资产阶级革命的洗礼后，演变成为近代民主权力机构。英国议会之所以能完成如此演变，是英国议会本身固有的特点、英国早期的自由民主传统、中世纪末期英圆阶级关系的变化厦百年战争、宗教改革等重大历史事件等多种因素共同作用的结果。

Social foundation of British parliament's modern transformation

In Middle Age,parliament-representing the British estates power organs,not only became one relatively independent power entity,playing the practical and effective role in political practice,but became the political stage of new and rising forces confronting monarchical power.After the baptism of bourgeois revolution,it became a modern democratic power entity,which results from such factors as the character inherent in British parliament,early British free democratic tradition,the change of British class relation in the end of the Middle Age,Hundred Years' War and religious reform as well.
