3D Reconstruction of The 2D Chemical Process Piping Diagram

This paper describes how to extract the information from the main-view and top-view of chemical process pipe in 2D, and match the information extracted and reconstruct the pipe in 3D. Thus reduces the design period of pipe and the efficiency are improved. The matching method, which endues the entities with different colors to differentiate whether they are matching successfully, can make the matching effective and fast. The specific implementation of these processes is done with the second development language Object ARX under the environment of AutoCAD.
