| Abstract: | Block methods for the finite difference solution of one dimensional linear diffusion-convection equation are considered.No special starting porcedure is required for their implementation.All of the block methods derived in this paper are unconditionally stable or L-stable (L_0-stable) and have higher accuracy. |
