| 摘 要： | 本文从欲望本能和环境决定论方面,结合自然主义、女性主义等文学批评理论分析嘉莉妹妹如何从一个听任男人摆布的初到大城市的乡下女孩到一名自食其力、经济独立的“新女性”,这个过程实质上是对传统的“女性特质”观念的改写。

| Abstract: | From the aspects of appetency and environmentalism in combination with literary criticism such as naturalism and feminism,this paper analyzes the process during which Sister Carrie became an independent "new female" in economics from a girl who just came to the big city from small village and was resigned to some males.Actually,this process is an adapting of traditional conception of feminine idiosyncrasy. |
