| Abstract: | The effect of residual stress on microplastic deformation behavior and microyield strength has been investigated. The results show that the residual stress do not affect the stage characteristics of microplastic deformation, but has an influence on the microyield stress. It is also pointed out that its effects can not be judged by the traditional view of simply adding the external stress to the residual stress. |
