| Abstract: | The humanistic character of Zhangzhou people is based on the natural environment which contains mountains, seas and plains, on the blood line of the brave soldiers in Tang Dynasty and on the influence of the Confucian school of idealist philosophy in the Song and Ming Dynasty. It is complex and complicated, evolving with the change of the times. Its basic connotation lies in Zhangzhou people's unwillingness to lag behind others, persuit of surpassing, boldness to rebel and love of pleasure. |
