A Tentative Study on Loanwords in Modern Chinese |

| Abstract: | This paper first defines loanword in the broad sense. Based on this definition, it probes into the panic characteristic of loanwords and studies the influence of loanwords upon modern Chinese language from perspectives such as language structure and semantics. Finally it analyses the reasons from cultural and psychological perspectives and reveals the norm principle of loanwords. |
